Dear friends—got out of here to NYC on a whim—happened very quick but here I am for a few weeks—w/ a job even! Not too exciting one—repairing & painting crates & wardrobe trunks at N. Y. St. Theater, but pay is good at $6.85/hr. I wondered if you two could recommend anything that I mustn't miss here in Big Apple. So far I only plan 2 C Coney Island (want to do foto expose of house of horrors w/ flash showing mechanism of the giant tarantulas, etc.) and Jap [Japanese] movies & LIGHT [Gallery]. Any good p.c. places? As ever—Paul—c/o Price [street address redacted]

Dear friends—Sometimes hard to make up my mind whether 2 go out or stay in & watch TV—good movies! Like "Latin Lovers" etc. Outside all you do is stand in lines which isn't all bad when looking at people's shoes. Been "snapping" a few of those wedgies, platforms, white corofam [corfam] loafers, Chinese zorries, engineer boots, etc. & a whole roll at St. of Lib. [Statue of Liberty] yesterday. We can have a slide show when I get back. Paul

Have Mark [Johnstone?] get you over to Rose Alverson [Arveson] Simmons Shrine before you go off to L.A. as it would be a good pre-Calif. event what w/ all the plastic there. Remember 2 let me know when U R Boulder bound & U can C enlarger & can have if U want it. Bring some blankets or padding to carry it w/ if U want it. I'm busy still setting up new house & darkroom—[street address redacted]. FUN FAX: "ARAPAHOE" in Arapahoe means "tattooed on the chest." C. U. soon—Paul

We went to PINK FLAMINGOS & FEMALE TROUBLE last nite & it was quite a bill to see. One is certainly assaulted all night long. Hope U R well & happy—yours—Paul

Dear B&M—Saw this, quite attractive & primitive w/ much animal & Biblical sculpture in yard. Been a Busy-"B" this wk putting veg. garden in & dreaming of summer wild plants in mts. Ted Thomas has a wonderful new print show—all Big Time Wrestling subject—went w/ T&A [Tom Breeden and Andrea Jennison]. Summer dreams are still LA oriented so maybe I'll see you in a few months. Dear Friends—thanx for nice article of clothing—Saw T&A's [Tom Breeden and Andrea Jennison] new place last wknd & she had some of your "things" out as well. Dear Bonnie—thanx 4 surprise pac—received in good shape. Here is a pic of an early rolling cafe, but head cook I don't see. Went to Cheyenne on wkend‚ just took it easy & went on a hike out Veedawoo [Vedauwoo] way. Very windy! I have some color xeroxes to send you soon of aquatic & cactus views, they look like frozen color TV. Adios amigos—Paul

NOTE [lizard] Dear B&M—Been going to mts. lately to see all the spring beauties coming up, but still much snow high up. Saw Ellen M. [Manchester] at restaurant w/ Breckenr. [Breckenridge] friends working on 20x24 Polaroid prints of Colo. mts. like old surveys. She looks good, but I haven't seen the pix yet. Want to, of course. Have had out-of-town friends & went to local roller coasters—try yours in S.D. [San Diego]! As ever—Paul

Dear B&M—Where did you get old of a crinkle-cutter (as seen on last p.c.)? I'd sure like one! Have been up to Wyo & camping with T&A [Tom Breeden and Andrea Jennison] in hot spgs. area. Very nice along Platte [River]—high water, huge cottonwoods, much wildlife. Was good to exit from city for while [sic]. Will go hiking above Ward [CO] tomorrow—still much snow. As ever—Paul

Dear friends—How's w/ U? Been keeping busy working & working on house, but will take time off to go to Frontier Daze & see Dolly Parton next week. I haven't been getting to mts [mountains] as much as I'd like—city life is so involving, as you well know; what w/ all the socializing I'm seeing lately, I hardly have much time to myself. But summer is the season. Been doing some erotic western drawings—boots, saddles, cowboys, cactus, etc. XO Paul

"HIGH DRAMA" Dear Bonnie & Marshall—I would like to see info on stereo camera making. Please send. Cheyenne was fun (w/ 18 people—a lot). Ellen [Manchester], Denver crowd & others, went dancing at Mayflower Hotel—pancake breakfast you would have enjoyed—parade, etc. Fortunately, I went camping for a few days afterward in Medicine Bow Mts & went to hot springs (unfortunately not nude) in Saratoga. xo P.

Dear Bonnie & Marshall—Saw Ellen M. [Manchester] on TV—a short interview w/ pix of [William Henry] Jackson fading into pix of her rephoto project. Very nice. Tomorrow I take my yearly trek up Mt. Audubon (Indian Pks) w/ brother Cole. I always love going up it, and always enjoy views from mt. tops. Hope you are well & happy. Paul

Welcome to LA! What part of town are you in? As long as there are a few palms around I'm sure you'll both feel at home. Any Agave Americanus? Hope to get up to Breckenridge this wkend but it snowed there a couple of days ago. This summer I'm working part time w/ Nat'l Park Architects drawing renderings of an old abandoned for near Mont.—N.D. line. Will stay in Denver though. XO Pablo
