Sept 25 Dear Mark—Postcard #2 of today (continuing our gas-inspired tour of CA). Picked up my mail after sending the 1st card and was delighted to receive a GENUINE Johnstone! What a great gift—but does this mean this BOOK will be the DEATH of me? I hope not although Blind Trust was nearly a nervous breakdown event. I think the relevant advice is: keep text short. Anyway—thanks for the words & images. Best Bob

Bob lent me his loft on Bond Street in Manhattan during a visit to the Big Apple, and I sent him a print as "thanks." We worked on two projects together: "Compound Fracture" (Twin Palms, 1996) and I wrote “Walking, Falling, Flying, Arriving, We Never Departed,” in Robert Flynt – Compound Fracture for the Houston Center of Photography (1997).
