The concept of evident involves three dichotomies: (1) direct and indirect (2) a priori, a posteriori (3) evidence for certainty, evidence for presupposition.

Dear Sherlock I hope you are well. M. D. has been very good with his correspondence and has let me know how you are doing. I saw this card the other day and thought about your family. Give them my fondest regards.

Dear Mark In one short week I have become a hillbilly and have formulated some cruisin' concepts of my own. Today I found a wonderful lake in Washington—took out all my gear and mounted, labelled and sorted slides. As luck should have it, when I finished, the rain began to pour—and once again I became vehicle bound. Rolfe has become quite a companion—personality + he moves with the tides, & hasn't had an accident once.

Mark—On one of our family trips, Pa got a speeding ticket in Texas. We had to go pay the ticket at a justice of the peace that looked like this. I bought this card thinking it was a picture of the place we went. I wanted so much to have a souvenir.

Mark I was a girl scout in grammar school. I worked to earn badges. I had about 16. This one dealt with letter writing.

I am in front of the fireplace sipping white wine. Pa is watching a football game with an old-fashion. Sis & Mamau are looking at summer snapshots. Papau is taking a nap. Ma is delivering a Christmas turkey. Things are different now.
