Dear Mark, I've scheduled your show in our cases Oct 5-23. We can use 12 prints and I will need a resume or statement to go along. I'd like them to arrive a couple days earlier than the 5th. Hope these dates are OK. Send to Barbara Houghton, Metro State College Art Dept, [address redacted].

Dear Mark—Can't make a trip to Laguna because Frick and Frack left me with a bummer car—Mark's funky mini-Honda. I'm only supposed to go to the grocery store, Club 30, etc. Am being lazy—reading too many New Yorkers! Wish I could come & visit. Are you thinking abt. Joshua Tree in Oct? xo Bonnie

Every morning I go outside and feel the nearby mountains. They are covered with snow now. I tingle with "mountain power." There are good days and bad days. But you know I think I can stand up to most anything with that strength behind me. Beth p.s. I think Bob's [Flick] birthday is coming up soon. Could you find out and let me know when?

Reflect once again. For Los Angeles has a moody climate. You must be careful. X-22 has appeal. But be not one to rise to such a claim. For there is a further consideration and that my friend is Z-45.

William Wilson said of George Herm's [sic] piece "Live Jazz": "...But the overriding components here are probably Herms' gentleness, incisive humor, and the ability to let time and memory make art." This makes very much sense to me.

Mark, Missed you on Saturday—it was a good one. If you get a call soon from a one David Johnson about a show in Virginia, we recommended you. We're sending our joint stuff which we're busy getting ready. Did you hear from Ben [Benschneider]? Do you think it would do any good to call him again and twist his arm? Marshall

Dear Mark—Had a nifty time in Montana (special jackalope events this year). The drive, however, left quite a bit to be desired—spent a fun filled 5 hours in Casper Wyo waiting for the gas pumps to open—the all-night station had used its quota for the month. David and I will plan on arriving at your digs about 6:00 pm Friday August 3rd and take you out for a big bite to eat at the restaurant of your choice. Should that not fit into your weekend agenda give me a buzz. Love to you & the boys! Jenny
