2/21/1977 Mark—If you were awed by Cristo's [sic] show at the Fine Arts Center, I'm sure you'll be terribly impressed with this postal feat! What's new in the world of photography? Was down in your neck of the woods yesterday, but didn't get a chance to drop by. Some friends invited me to go sailing on the Pueblo Reservoir—had a meal at La Casina afterwards as the Highlife (Magdalena's new hangout) was closed. Enough of this—to the crux of the card: HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY A WEEK LATE! Love Jenny

6/21/10 Dear Mark and Deb [Gelet], FINALLY here is the card I have been wanting to send your way. Retaliations? Fine art? A classic! I was consumed by a three-week flurry of gardening work but have come up for air (and correspondence) today. Summer is flying by. We will see Anne for five days and tests August 1st. Hope to see two postcard trackers too. Happy pedaling! Thank you for Crystal River/Sopris memories!

4.14.80 Dear Mark, Thanks for the postcards & all the good news! The show looks good—color, eh?—Can't make it out. But I'll drink a toast to you on the 25th (orange juice, of course) I'll aim my sights at August 31st—will try my darndest to git out there! Hot towel! Am I ever happy for the two of you! What fine people you and Marianne are! May I ask a favor of you? My brother Chris, is heading for Samoa on May 5th (Western Flt#61 from Salt Lake to L.A.) He'd be arriving at 9:45 A.M. & has a overnight stopover. Could you pick him up (at your convenience—lunch time, after work, whenever) at the airport & loan him your floor for the night? His plane for Samoa departs May 6th at 10:50 AM from LA. Give me a call collect and we'll talk this over. Realize those are lousy times for you & you have plenty shakin' w/out one more burden. My #: [redacted] I've moved to a place of my own! Address [redacted] Tell Marianne I'll write her soon. Love to you both! Jenny (call soon!)

12/14 Dear Mark—Work is done, finished, through for me—feels great! Spent my last day (Wednesday) in Albuquerque w/ the museum staff touring galleries & museums—saw a beautiful exhibition of Wynn Bullock's work (that man could print!) Say, what's doin' w/ you for the Christmas holidays? It just occurred to me that you might be stuck out there in smoggy-mudslide-fire city. If you get a hankerin' to travel, you are more than welcome to join the Phelps clan in smoggy Denver—if we're lucky they will have finished our condo in Winter Park (did you know that it burned down last spring?) & we can head for the hills for some x-country skiing. I'll be heading up north at the end of next week & staying thru the New Year (Jan. 2 or 3). Do come if you like! Have you ever been the Center for Creative Photography in Tucson? More soon. Love Jenny

Dear Mark—Welcome home to the big L.A. Many thanks for your en route post card—sounds as though it was a good trip! Had a good time, for the most part, in Denver partaking in Jack & Hildy's wedding festivities. Saw a bunch of relatives I had not seen in ages plus some of the old college crew—Felix Martinez, Dick Reeve, Che Tcheyan, Gary Peterson, Jim Cutler & Charlie Vogel to name a few. Seeing George [Robb] was the not so good part of the weekend—ironic, as it was the one part that I was counting on to make my sixteen hours on the road worthwhile. Anyhoo, by the time Sunday rolled around I found myself in a bag along w/ the weekend's debris—dumped. Still have not recovered—I hate hurting! Will give it time though & 'spose it will get better. Hope all is better on your end than on mine. Job prospects? Take care! Thanks for your visit! Louise sends her best! Much love—Jenny

March 5, 1981 Better git yourself a pair of these (preferably in leather, that porcelain is hell on your feet!) I'm back here in our nation's capital visiting w/ my brother Chris & his wife Peggy (they both send their regards, by the way) Chris is looking very well considering his confrontation w/ the pick-up truck (I wrote you re: that didn't I?) His left wrist is floppy as there was some nerve damage, the extent of which is unknown at present. And he is looking pretty skinny but he's alive & well on his way to recovery (is already back at work). I'm sightseeing up a storm. We're all going to the "King & I" w/ Yul Brynner tonight. Then It's back to Denver & to the coast & the real world this weekend. Love! Jenny

Dea Deb and Mark—True's sagebrush chew diversion greets me each morning at 6:00 as I walk the loop above our house. Each time we meet I am reminded of our quick visit. It was so nice to see all three of you. thx. We have not dived into your lovely canned pears and salsa yet, but the Bella Vista sauces are KILLER (I've chicken and a porta bella mushroom marinading in the "Red Pepper Aioli" as I write this. Yum! We hope that your sixtieth birthday party/road trip was great fun, that your tomatoes survived or that new ones are thriving. Our Canadian road trip is still up in the air (having a rough time finding caregivers in August); we shall see! Thank you for stopping by! Thank you for your tasty gifts! Jenny

9-25-1999 Dear Mark—Congratulations on Contemporary Art in Southern California! I infer you've been anything but idle. Thank you for keeping me posted! Hope the talk and book signing went well. I'm a bachelorette (with 4th grader and kindergartner in tow) for 2 1/2 months while George builds a timber frame house on Orcas Island with our families' patron saint! Soccer coach and school volunteer extraordinaire! Love to you & Robbi! Jenny
