Dear Bonnie—Eric [Minuth] and I are sitting' in the Pearl Brewery in San Antone sipping' a coupla cold ones. From here its to Texarkana and Memphis. The bicentennial S.W. tour moves on to the midwest. Shore wuz nice stayin' here @ a house wi' a swimming' pool. Will try to make Boulder's social event of the season. Even bought a new shirt for it. See ya + Marsh in a bit.

Life in Los Angeles is one crazy time. Smog so bad it's DANGEROUS. Only saving grace is retreating to beach side place of my woman. Am so busy can't get any work done. Am thinking of going after photo history/criticism when done here. But dealing w/ academia is soooo unreal. Whatever, it'll be bye-bye LA, and the song girls. All in the PURSUIT OF PULCHRITUDE
