Dear Mark, Sorry I could't find a card on short notice. Today I got an offer from Gus, my boss, to lease the Aristocrat Steak House with you for 5 years. If I didn't HAVE to finish grad school I'd do it 'cause it's lots of $$$. Marshall Happy belated, Brenda!!

Marshall 6-4-76 Here is your stuff. I had to wait for the slides & money to buy the Smith [?] record. I think you will enjoy them. Keep the slides around, and bring them with you. They're the only ones. "Mixed emotions" got cut off so I have to redo that. These are all postcards from Orcas Island where Mary Donner works. It's incredible. We have to buy land up there some day.

Mark and Brenda, We've finally figured everything out and we'll be there late Thursday 16th. The tires are wearing badly so the camper is probably out. Glacier is incredible but rainy & BEARS force us to a hotel. A soft bed & shower are welcome though. Marsh

Dear Mark and Brenda, Bonnie [Lambert] and I are in Leadville Colo now on a small vacation that turned out to be an abortion. I'm trying to write a longer version which will include reasons for living in California and vacationing alone. You should receive that shortly. Let it suffice to say that I fell in love and want to keep it that way—I hope you understand 'cause it's very important to me. Marshall

...video w/ Bonnie [Lambert] is just one big technical problem—and it has to be done in 2 weeks. And I can't sell any of these fuckin' lenses (135 + 50) so I can go on a photographic vacation. Shit! Shit! Shit! My only saving grace is Bonnie. Let's talk about us. I still don't understand this ego trip thing you and brenda [Mayer] keep mentioning—maybe it's just a semantic problem 'cause I understand all the rest.

Our (Bob [Figgis] & I) show is in early August and I've been looking around for another gallery for the "Meta Cafe & Memorable Meal Show." I think I'll let Brenda say something. Mark Weee Marshall how's your life coming along. Thimply thwell, I thuppose. I got a photo album & have been stashing all the prints I could find, but there's some I can't find—of my bike, of the Little House Cafe. The photos are pretty bad, anyway so it doesn't matter. I have been...

What the hell is stopping you from coming out here sooner? I think bob [Figgis] is moving out of the studio at the end of Sept—fucker never sticks with anything. He is not doing any art at all. All he thinks about is boats & I'm getting sick of it. I want different things out of life, so -----. It looks like you & I have the place to ourselves after that.
