Dear Dave, I love the feathers! I put them, with the Chinese paper as background in an old print frame and they are now gracing my kitchen. THANKS. Alaska was BIG! I had a hard time getting a handle on it. The totem poles were too tall. But the worst was my BRAND new delux changing bag turned out to be a fogger when used in the sun. I lost my best shots! I could kill, or maybe sue. Listen to some great music, LOUD and think of me. Love, Linda

Dave—What're you up to? On the road at all? I've gotten to Israel, Egypt, Sri Lanka & Pakistan since last we were in touch. In Jan. I sail to Antarctica. So I'm very busy here but shoot of [sic] to L.A. & next D.C. Have you watched [John] Schott's T.V. program? Linda [Connor?] was out in Ireland. Take care, Stuart Klipper [address redacted]

Hi Dave—Spring has finally sprung. Gawd—what an awful winter. It really brought me down. We were in NYC only for a short time during show. Sorry we didn't connect‚ very hectic scene—didn't see too many folks-from-the-past—except at opening. Gotham seems far away now. Jane [?] is now doing incredible "pattern" paintings, just had her first show opening last Sat. Very exciting. And I'm very proud of her. How's by you? Doing great pics? Collecting great cards? Playing landlord OK? New gas station book out soon. By Scott Anderson. Do you know him? In Des Moines. Keep in touch—and, warm wishes. John

Dear —Ellen M. [Manchester] came by with a sign from you that she's been carrying around presumably in her purse for the past few months. Thank-you for thinking of me and my fat cigars. I hope to be in N.Y. sometime in spring and will give you a call. Hope your life is well and sweet and free of plumbing problems. Best Larry Sultan

Sept 16 B—My five days in NYC were frantic, fruitful and exhausting. Saw tons of people, stayed at Ross B[aughman]'s, looked at tons of slides for the show. Had brunch w/ [Dave] Freund in Brooklyn Sunday, raced to get a quicky flight to Boston, [Jim] Stone picked me up & took me to a huge dinner party. Needless to say I slept most of my 3 days in Boston. Literally! But I did have time to see Stone & Harwood. Probably botched some Polaroid connections but I just couldn't move. Now rested, on a train to Philly. Love K.

Hi Dave: I think I asked you, but, as slight concern and panic sets in I'll make sure: id est [?], any P.T. courses available—perhaps Sabados at Ramapos or other such endeavors. I may have something at Jersey City S. C., but of course, nothing is definite as the saying goes. Aside from that mundane stuff I hope we can get together—I have a bunch of "New Work" that I'd like to show you. And you, ?ca va? I'll be in NJ at the beginning of June—Later Mauro
