Marsh: Probably will arrive on or about Aug 25—Can't really make it sooner because of logistics in getting from Boston to L.A. Might be able to make it a wee bit sooner. [Michael] Ballou and I are dynamite in volleyball as the human wall and the ten foot spike. Got some dynamite stuff to show you when I get out. Am finally getting some stuff I like.

Marshall—Thanks for yr. thought-provoking comments on my writing, I need as much feedback as I can get concerning it. Would you be interested in doing a joint piece of writing? Maybe we can plan a get together Fri nite or Sat morning before shindig @ BC Space Dec 9? I never did hear how Joshua Tree was.....or the outcome of the engine that expired.....Went up to the Sierras last week, but got snowed out premature to the planned end of the trip. First time up to 11,000 feet since Colorado. Butt-ass cold, too. Gus packed his own food up. cute. M

It's so nice here! And seemingly so much happening @ ground roots level. 3-4 photo galleries with major (financial) oomph behind 'em. + a commitment @ the art museum. Good place for me to consider post-USC..... M

Marsh + Bonnie: Thanks for racing tips! Marianne + I took it on the ear @ the track, though 1 in group won $125 + another $60. Didja hear 'bout the fire @ Joshua Tree? Dunno what's happening yet w/ me @ Labor Day... Will keep ya posted. Marshy-poo, remember this choice little building? Car is doing a wee bit of acting up, so I'm more or less grounded this week... Later, M
